Last Wednesday, all the second year students got out of school, hailed empty jeepneys and went straight to SM after the three o'clock bell. We were going to watch the Inconvenient Truth. All I can just say is, "Now their making it an issue! About time and yet... too late..."
I mean, for goodness sake! Hints, text messages, diseases were already given by Mother Nature to those people who have the power to institute martial law to do something. And yet they didn't do anything about it and focused themselves on politics and today's weekly gossip! What can you find in those things anyway?! They just add to spit pollution! SPIT POLLUTION!
Students are already aware yet we didn't have the power to lead a full force environment saving force (and the funds). We already planted trees yet they were turned to statues at the side of the road! So much for doing something to change this lump people used to call earth. People, see what we are doing? No! We fail to see it! All we do is look at the magazine and admire the new edition of Honda cars! Then buy them, drive them and contribute more to the enlarging of the ozone hole which could be larger than Russia and the United States put together by now, thanks to us!
I don't know why I'm angry! Perhaps the fact that I can't live in harmony for the next twenty years since I would be underground protecting myself from getting fried by the heat of the sun! I'm angry because I won't be able to see my children enjoy their lives and see those animals that have not yet gone EXTINCT! I think half of the animal kingdom is dead by now! There are no more polar bears! Fishes have turned to broiled fish for the water temperarure has increased! Penguins are decreasing! If ever they don't stop dumping oil into the ocean they would be saved! Corals are turning bleach white! That means more ornaments to hang above at home and no marine life!
Sooner or later, the remaining animals will have their revenge just like in animal farm. All of us is Mr. Jones while the farm animals are the animals of the world. Wow! Is that a sight to see! People getting kicked in the shin by hyenas! As a matter of fact, we are hyenas! Doing nothing just like the toad staying in the the gradually heating water!
I HATE THIS! I DON'T WANT IT TO BE THIS WAY! I HATE IT, I HATE IT, I HATE IT!!! Children of today won't get to reach the age of seventy for the earth's temperature would have gone way above the average earth temperature! I wish Al Gore would have been president so that there would be no war in Iraq! Pollution would have stopped! The ozone hole could have been covered up! GAAAAHHH!!!
Why? Why make it an issue now? What's the special forecast of global warming is killing many people all about? Why now? Why not earlier when it first began? WHY NOW?!
I really don't like where we are going through... and all we need is another ice age... would there be another one? Or are we done for?

You watched the "Inconvienient Truth". I did too for Marine Biology.
20 years ago a scientist predicted by 2001 there will be no more fish to get from the sea & he was wrong.
That is because food multiplys arithmatically.
Global warming exists, yes, but the reason why the government (both of ours, US & PI) aren't doing much about it is that there are MANY different issues that are much more important.
For example, Economy. If we focus less on economy then the economy will become horrible. We won't have money to spend for the environment.
Another example, National Protection. The reason why people are mad at Bush is that he is focusing to protect my country. I think he's reason is that if we ignore North Korea & Iran, then those country's will use their nuclear weapons on us. & you see....there will be no US environment to preserve.
Arielle, there are A LOT of organizations that protect the environment. You can join one of those. :)
To be honest, I can do nothing to help the environment now because I don't live by my own rules. I live by my parents rules. And they do everything so my bro and I could live. They are too busy to conserve the environment. So I promise when I grow up. I will help the environment. But I just can't now.
By the way, there is no hole in the ozone layer. We fixed that problem already. The only problem ther is that the pollution is keeping more sunrays in than out.
In conclusion, there are important issues that need to be dealt wih in the world. (Poverty, food is running out, homelessness, etc.)

Hmmm... *sighs* Well... I wasn't angry when I posted it. Hehehe. I was just irritated on why their making it such a big deal now and not earlier.
Anyways, thanks for your opinion. And you're right. I am aware that there are a lot of issues that the government is handling. But since they have all those environment saving rules, why can't they just implement some so as not to worsen everything.
And I know Bush is great leader, it's just that the war has contributed so many horrible things. Why can't they sit down and talk? (Like that will happen) I'm not angry at him, it's just that, I wish everything would turn back to normal with no news about dead people showing in the tv every thirty minutes.
I know there are a lot of environment-saving organizations out there, but no one's trying to help those guys. And I never heard of either one of them doing something.
Oh! So there's no hole in the ozone layer... that's not what hey told us... let me check!
No one can do anything since we are so pent up with OUR lives... so there's no big deal as long as we live a happy life, right?
I say again, I am not angry... hehehe.
